Reducing our carbon footprint

 

We have taken great care to ensure that every aspect of our business is environmentally friendly - from our t-shirts themselves (made with organic cotton and low-impact dyes and inks) to our minimalist packaging (no plastic bags, please - "less is more") to our sustainable gift wrapping (made from recycled materials). It's all in the details, big and small! We encourage and promote a "green" lifestyle for moms-to-be and their babies, and we support mothers helping Mother Nature for generations to come!

 

Our Product

We believe in chemical-free products. The Happy Magpie is committed to preserving a healthy environment for the next generation, so we make our products with planet-friendly materials like organic cotton and non-toxic dyes and inks.

 

Our Domestic Initiative

We believe in supporting our great nation. All of our products are made in the USA and shipped via the United States Postal Service and UPS. By backing US based businesses, we strengthen our national economy and create and secure jobs for our country's future.

 

Our Packaging

We believe in "less is more" packaging. All of our packaging is based on a "less is more" philosophy which means what little wrapping we do use is made from 100 % recycled paper (and can be recycled yet again). Our USPS mailing supplies are “cradle to cradle” certified (http://mbdc.com/usps) which means they have less of an impact on landfills. Even our mailing labels are made from recycled material.

 

Our Compassion

We believe in “paying-it-forward”. We recognize and appreciate the importance of philanthropy and giving back to a community both monetarily and with priceless, in-kind actions. The Happy Magpie donates $1 for each t-shirt sold to a children's charity, and we seek out non-profit partners like, NuPath, Inc (www.nupathinc.org) (formerly, CMARC), who employ the intellectually challenged and make a real difference in bettering people’s lives. As our success grows, so does our giving-back element.
